Recycling guide

The University of Genoa identifies Sustainability as one of the strategic pillars guiding its institutional missions, alongside Innovation, Inclusion, Internationalization, and Quality. Waste sorting is a key priority for a University that is increasingly committed to environmental protection and the well-being of both students and staff.

At the Savona Campus, recycling stations are located both inside and outside the buildings. These stations are equipped with dedicated bins for: NON-RECYCLABLE WASTE, PLASTIC AND METALS, PAPER and – available outdoors and near vending machines – GLASS.

The ORGANIC waste collection is located only inside the residence buildings. Additionally, dedicated collection points for BATTERIES and TONER are located near the entrances of the Delfino, Lagorio, Marchi, Branca, and Locatelli buildings, as well as in the Great Halls (Aule Magne) foyer and the Library.

Waste collection and disposal in Savona are managed by SEAS – Servizi Ambientali Savonesi.

If you have any questions regarding proper waste disposal, please consult the Recycling Guide.

Sustainability is a collective mission: to ensure the effectiveness of our recycling system, the cooperation of every student and member of the university staff is essential.
